How do you use Kumkumadi Tailam?
Apply 2–3 drops of Kumkumadi Tailam to clean skin, morning and night, and massage until absorbed. In the morning, always follow with sunscreen.
Used consistently, it helps improve your skin’s complexion, brighten your skin tone and fade dark spots. Here is the full routine, step by step.
- Clean your face well by washing it with a gentle skin cleanser.
- Take 2–3 drops of Kumkumadi Tailam onto your palm and apply it over your face, neck and other affected areas.
- Massage the oil into your skin using circular motions for 5 to 10 minutes. If you have oily skin, you may want to massage for longer. Facial tools like a gua sha or jade roller work well here.
- Let the oil absorb fully. If your skin is dry, you can leave it on overnight and cleanse in the morning.
- In the morning, always follow with sunscreen.
How much Kumkumadi Tailam should you use?
Two to three drops is enough for the whole face and neck. Over-application is the most common reason any facial oil causes congestion.
If you have oily skin, use it sparingly and no more than once a day to start.
Can you use Kumkumadi Tailam for dark circles?
Yes. Take a few drops of Kumkumadi Tailam and gently massage beneath your eyes, then leave it on for about 30 minutes before washing it off. Avoid direct contact with the eyes themselves.
Does Kumkumadi Tailam have side effects?
There are no known serious side effects of using Kumkumadi Tailam when it is used in adequate amounts. As with any skincare product, applying it in excess can cause problems. Here are the ones worth knowing about.
- Contact with the eyes. If the oil comes into direct contact with your eyes, it can cause a burning sensation.
- Oily skin. Kumkumadi Tailam is oil-based, so those with naturally oily skin should use it sparingly. Used in excess it can increase oiliness and acne. It’s recommended that oily skin types not use Kumkumadi Tailam more than once a day.
- Sensitive skin. People with sensitive skin may experience an allergic reaction, particularly as some are allergic to fragrant components in plant oils. This can show up as brown spots, rashes or pimples. If your skin is sensitive, patch test on the inner forearm for 48 hours before applying to your face.
Can you use Kumkumadi Tailam during pregnancy?
Our formulation is made with natural ingredients, but we always suggest consulting a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Does Kumkumadi Tailam help with stretch marks and scars?
Kumkumadi oil is known to help resurface the skin, which can reduce the appearance of scars and marks over time. Results vary between individuals and depend on how long the marks have been there.
