Sensitive skin

Yes, this works on sensitive skin. There's no added synthetic fragrance in it. What you smell is the saffron and the herbs themselves. No parabens either, and nothing harsh.

Two things to flag before you buy. Our base is sesame oil and goat milk, so please skip it if you have a sesame allergy.

If your skin reacts easily, go slowly. Two drops at night only, every alternate day for the first week. Once you know it suits you, build up to morning and night. Patch test behind your ear first, and always follow your morning application with sunscreen.

Oily and acne-prone skin

Oily skin can absolutely use a face oil. The trick is quantity. Two drops on clean skin covers your whole face, and because ours is lightweight it sinks in instead of sitting on top.

Use it everywhere, including over post-acne marks and pigmentation. That's where kumkumadi really earns its place.

Got active, inflamed breakouts? Patch test first, and go around them instead of straight over the top. If your skin runs very oily, start with nights only and add the morning application once you see how it settles.

Dry and dehydrated skin

Here's the thing about face oils: they lock moisture in, they don't add it. So on dry skin, how you apply it matters more than how much.

Put it on while your skin is still damp, either straight after cleansing or over our Kumkumadi Toner. The oil holds that hydration all night. Three to four drops if your skin is very dry.

Use it morning and night, and follow the morning application with sunscreen.

Combination and normal skin

Two to three drops, morning and night. If your T-zone runs oily, go lighter there and a little fuller on your cheeks. Always follow your morning application with sunscreen.
