Yes. We formulate it without parabens, without added synthetic fragrance and without harsh actives, so there's very little in it that typically sets sensitive skin off. The scent you get is the saffron and the herbs, nothing added.

The caveat is about ingredients, not irritation. Our base is sesame oil and goat milk, so if you have a sesame allergy this isn't the one for you.

Used sensibly, no. Any face oil can congest skin if you pile it on, but ours is lightweight and absorbs without leaving residue. At two to three drops most people are fine with it, oily and combination skin included. If you clog easily, keep it to nights only and cleanse in the morning.

No. Auravedic Kumkumadi Tailam is a brightening formula. Saffron, manjistha and yashtimadhu are the classical varnya herbs, the ones Ayurveda uses to even out skin tone, and they're all in this bottle. Nothing in it pigments your skin.

The worry comes from how face oils get used, not from the oil itself. Leave any oil on your face in daytime sun without sunscreen and existing pigmentation will look worse. So wear your sunscreen every morning over the oil, and this will fade spots rather than deepen them.

It depends how you use it. Face oils lock moisture in, they don't supply it, so an oil applied to bone-dry skin has less to work with.

Give it something to seal. Apply three to four drops of Auravedic Kumkumadi Tailam while your skin is still damp from cleansing, or layer it over our Kumkumadi Toner. Done that way it holds hydration all day and night, and most very dry skin won't need anything heavier.

Morning and night is the routine, and always follow the morning application with sunscreen. Warm the drops between your palms and press them into your face and neck, don't rub. More isn't better with a face oil. A small amount pressed into damp skin will always beat a heavy layer.
